I am grateful to be able to practice my craft as an illustrator as well as a fine artist. I try to tell a visual story in each of my paintings. The 'narrative' I tell most often revolves around the theme of a cyclical world, the changing seasons, and capturing that all important moment in time.

I am invested in exploring how elements in nature are affected by weather, particularly the wind. The intrigue of melding physical elements with conceptual ideas and human characteristics to inanimate objects is evident in my art and underlined by the titles I choose.

April shows her work at the CCA Gallery in Zionsville, IN and the William & Joseph Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. She resides in Carmel, IN with her husband Scott who designs furniture and books in addition to co-owning an advertising firm. They have two wonderful adult children who attend college..
