After graduating from Herron School of Art in 1981,
I have enjoyed balancing family life with freelancing
as a painter and illustrator.
I love the challenge of doing commissioned portraits and
working on commercial illustration projects, in addition to
my fine art. I have illustrated five children's books:
"Have You Ever Seen A Moose Taking A Bath?",
"Have You Ever Seen A Moose Brushing His Teeth?",
"Three Cups," "Why is Mommy Sleeping?" and
"Full Moon Maxi." I am currently working on
"Lucy's Shooting Star."
I have received numerous local, state, and national
awards, most notably a Society Of Illustrator's merit
award and a 2003 American Women Artists award.
In Indiana, I currently exhibit my work at Gallery One 36
in Westfield, Magdalena Gallery of Fine Art in Carmel,
The Hoosier Salon in Broad Ripple, Dean Johnson Gallery
in Indianapolis, CCA Gallery in Zionsville and Gallery 423
in Columbus.
